Zelestra-India has secured a 180 MW wind power project under the Solar Energy Corporation of India’s (SECI) 1,200 MW wind tender through a competitive bidding process, marking a significant milestone in the company’s renewable energy expansion journey. The project will be an Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS)-connected asset and is scheduled for commissioning by March 2028.
With this latest win, Zelestra India’s total renewable energy portfolio now stands at 2.7 GWp, reinforcing the company’s growing presence in India’s utility-scale clean energy landscape. Currently, Zelestra operates 596 MWp of renewable capacity across projects.
Commenting on the development, Parag Sharma, Chief Executive Officer, Zelestra India, credited the achievement to the team’s disciplined execution and strategic focus throughout the bidding process. He noted that the win strengthens Zelestra’s ability to deliver large-scale renewable projects while remaining aligned with India’s evolving grid infrastructure and policy framework.
