Enterprise AI
Workday, the enterprise AI platform for managing people, money, and agents, has strengthened its long-term commitment to India, positioning the country as a key strategic pillar for global growth and innovation. With AI transforming the future of work worldwide, Workday is expanding its talent base, technology investments, and infrastructure footprint across India.
Workday currently employs over 1,000 professionals across Pune, Chennai, and Mumbai, a number expected to exceed 1,200 by FY26. The company is further accelerating its India expansion by opening new offices in Delhi and Bengaluru in FY27. This growth will be spearheaded by Sunil Jose, the newly appointed President, India, who brings more than 30 years of enterprise technology leadership.
Rob Enslin, President & Chief Commercial Officer, Workday, highlighted India as the “heart of Workday’s innovation journey,” emphasizing the country’s deep talent pool and its rising influence in AI-driven transformation. Sunil Jose echoed this vision, noting that India’s enterprises are entering a defining era shaped by digital acceleration and responsible AI adoption.
To further support customers, Workday will launch its India region data centre on AWS, available for new customer provisioning from December 2025, with migrations starting in early 2026. This will enable organizations to deploy Workday HCM, Financial Management, and Adaptive Planning with enhanced compliance and performance.
