Visa has appointed Gaurav Ramdev as the new Head of Marketing for India and South Asia, strengthening its regional brand strategy and digital payments agenda across India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Bhutan. With nearly 20 years of award-winning experience in brand leadership, digital strategy, consumer insights, and large-scale storytelling, Gaurav is widely recognized as one of India’s top marketing leaders. He has served as Co-Chairperson of ASSOCHAM’s National Council of Branding & Marketing and as a Council Member of ASCI’s Consumer Complaints Council (CCC).
Before joining Visa, Gaurav delivered high-impact marketing outcomes at Protean eGov Technologies as CMO & CGMO, where he built a strong marketing function, shaped the company’s IPO narrative, and earned over 20 national awards. He previously led marketing for RazorpayX, driving 3X MAU growth, reducing CAC by 400%, and launching the brand’s first major campaign. His successful tenure at The Coca-Cola Company included revitalizing Fanta and leading campaigns that boosted consumption across key beverage brands.
Gaurav’s rich cross-industry experience positions him to elevate Visa’s brand presence, deepen consumer trust, and accelerate the next phase of payments innovation in the region.
