Piramal Pharma Limited has elevated Viral Gandhi to Chief Technology Officer, effective October 2026. In his expanded role, he will lead technology and AI initiatives for Piramal Pharma and serve as Group CTO for Piramal Foundation, supporting digital transformation and technology-led business growth.
Viral brings over 31 years of leadership and technology experience, with expertise in enterprise technology strategy, AI-enabled business transformation and technology-driven competitive advantage across industries including BFSI, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, real estate and travel.
He has been associated with Piramal Group for over 11 years, most recently serving as President and Group Chief Information Officer, where he led enterprise IT strategy and implementation aligned with the group’s business objectives.
Earlier, Viral served as Chief Information Officer at Cox & Kings India and held technology delivery leadership roles at Tata Consultancy Services, managing global teams and technology programmes for major organisations.
