Vedanta Aluminium Metal Limited has appointed Abhinav Gupta as Chief Financial Officer for its Jharsuguda operations in Odisha. Abhinav brings extensive experience in financial strategy, business planning, project finance and operational finance across the metals and mining sector. In his new role, he will lead financial strategy, cash flow and working capital management, capital allocation, cost optimisation, risk management, compliance and stakeholder engagement.
Before joining Vedanta Aluminium, Abhinav served as Deputy CFO – Iron Ore Business at Vedanta’s Sesa Goa Iron Ore from 2021 to 2026.
He previously spent nearly 16 years with Hindustan Zinc, where he held senior finance leadership roles including Head Finance – RA SBU, Head Finance – Project Vertical and Head Finance – DSC SBU. His experience spans project finance, business performance and financial management across major industrial operations. At Jharsuguda, Abhinav will work with cross-functional teams to strengthen financial performance, governance and data-driven decision-making while supporting operational excellence and sustainable growth.
