Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has released an upgraded Aadhaar application, marking an important digital milestone as it continues to strengthen its technology capabilities.
The new application facilitates secure, consent-based sharing of minimal attributes, such as name and photograph, via encrypted QR codes. This update focuses on driving data minimization initiatives, strengthening privacy platforms, and enabling scalable, secure, and future-ready operations aligned with the DPDP Act.
The deployment reflects the firm’s focus on leveraging technology as a key enabler of operational excellence, efficiency, and innovation. The app supports up to five family profiles per device and includes biometric lock functions, enhancing digital resilience and supporting users with robust technology solutions across the global enterprise.
Vivek Chandra Verma, Deputy Director General, noted that the objective is to simplify verification while reducing fraud risks. This journey positions the group to build a strong foundation for long-term organizational success.
