Tata Motors has appointed D P Nambiar as its Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), effective May 29, 2026. A seasoned Tata Group leader with more than three decades of experience, he joins the automotive major from Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), where he held several strategic global HR leadership roles.

In his new role, D P Nambiar will lead Tata Motors’ human resources function, focusing on talent strategy, organizational culture, leadership development, and workforce transformation across the company’s global operations.

During his 30-year tenure at TCS, he served as Vice President and Head of HR for Geographies & Corporate Functions and earlier as Global Head of HR for Service Lines. He also gained significant international experience as Director of HR for Continental Europe in the Netherlands and led staffing operations for North America.
