Sumit Deshpande has joined Deutsche Bank as Director, Corporate Trust & Depositary Receipts, India, marking a new chapter in his banking and financial services career.
He brings nearly two decades of experience across client services, transaction banking, corporate trust, payments and cash management, and financial services leadership. Most recently, Sumit served as Head of Client Services – India, Issuer & Investor Services at Citi India, following a six-year tenure as Vice President.
Prior to Citi, he worked at IDFC FIRST Bank as Associate Director II – Transaction Banking Sales, Wholesale Banking, managing domestic financial institutions and corporate clients across transaction banking. His professional journey also includes over five years at HSBC in payments and cash management, sales and securities services.
Sumit began his banking career at ICICI Bank, followed by an earlier stint at Deutsche Bank as Relationship Manager – Analyst, serving SME clients.
