Visionary Leader Shobha Mishra Ghosh (she/her) has been appointed as Chief Advocacy & Policy Advisor, India & South Asia at GE HealthCare India, marking a significant leadership addition as the company deepens its engagement across healthcare policy and public affairs in the region. With over 35 years of distinguished experience, she brings deep expertise in public policy, government relations, and institutional development spanning healthcare, education, and industry.
In her earlier leadership role at GE HealthCare, Shobha led national and global policy initiatives, working closely with government bodies and lawmakers to drive regulatory reforms and strengthen healthcare ecosystems. Prior to this, she spent nearly 16 years at FICCI, where she spearheaded high-impact advocacy across MedTech, health insurance, public health, and education.
She played a pivotal role in shaping landmark national frameworks, including India’s National Health Policy, medical devices regulations, and the National Education Policy. Shobha has also served on prominent boards such as the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare (NABH), IRDAI, and Delhi Technological University, and represented India on global platforms including the World Bank, UNESCO, OECD Development, and BRICS.
Her appointment underscores GE HealthCare’s commitment to advancing patient-centric, innovation-led healthcare policy across India and South Asia.
