Saudi Enterprise AI Startup Gaia Raises $1.5 Million Pre-Seed

Saudi Enterprise AI Startup Gaia Raises $1.5 Million Pre-Seed Startup Stories

Founded by Badr Al-Malluh and Mohammad Rababah, Gaia is building an intelligence layer that connects enterprise files, emails, CRM, ERP platforms and other business systems while keeping sensitive data within an organisation’s own environment.

The platform combines enterprise search, generative AI assistants and purpose-built agents, enabling employees to query connected sources and receive cited answers linked to original documents, messages or records. Its permission-aware architecture preserves existing access controls across connected systems.

Gaia is also developing AI agents capable of automating recurring tasks, generating summaries and reports, and executing multi-step workflows across business applications. Higher-risk actions can be routed to employees for approval before execution.

The Bigger Picture

The funding comes as enterprises increasingly prioritise sovereign AI, data governance and secure AI deployment to meet growing compliance and accountability requirements.

CXO TechBOT Perspective

Gaia’s latest funding highlights the growing demand for enterprise AI platforms that combine automation with data sovereignty and permission-aware access, positioning the startup to support Saudi Arabia’s expanding AI and digital transformation ecosystem.
