Sarla Aviation has unveiled plans to invest ₹1,300 crore in building a state-of-the-art aerospace manufacturing facility across 500 acres in Andhra Pradesh, marking one of the state’s most ambitious ventures in advanced air mobility. The upcoming facility will focus on designing and manufacturing electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, an emerging segment transforming global transportation with cleaner, faster and more efficient mobility solutions.

The project is expected to significantly accelerate India’s push toward next-generation aerial mobility while positioning Andhra Pradesh as a rising hub for aerospace innovation. Industry analysts note that eVTOL technology holds immense potential to reshape regional air travel, emergency services, cargo logistics and urban commuting in the years ahead.

Government officials confirmed that the new facility will create high-value employment opportunities in engineering, manufacturing and R&D, while attracting additional investments across the aerospace supply chain. The Andhra Pradesh government has welcomed Sarla Aviation’s move, calling it a major boost to the state’s vision of fostering a future-ready, innovation-led industrial ecosystem.
