Samir Thaha has joined Oman Air as Head of IT Strategy & Governance, where he will lead IT strategy, enterprise architecture, governance, portfolio and investment management, cybersecurity strategy, and innovation, aligning technology investments with the airline’s strategic objectives.
With extensive experience in aviation technology and enterprise IT leadership, Samir has held senior positions across leading aviation organisations. He previously served as Chief Information Officer at Star Air and Vice President – IT at GO FIRST. His professional journey also includes leadership roles at Emirates Group and Qatar Airways, where he contributed to technology and business systems initiatives.
Before joining Oman Air, Samir served as Director at Hayl Consulting FZ LLC, focusing on aviation technology consulting, and as Vice President – IGTx Delivery at IGT Solutions.
His expertise spans digital transformation, enterprise IT strategy, technology governance, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies.
