Nutanix co-founder Ajeet Singh launches AI martech startup Different with $48 Mn seed funding Enterprise AI

Serial entrepreneur Ajeet Singh, cofounder of Nutanix and ThoughtSpot, has launched his third venture, Different, an AI-powered marketing technology startup. Emerging from stealth, the company has raised $48 Mn in seed funding led by General Catalyst, with participation from Lightspeed Venture Partners.

Different is focused on automating end-to-end demand generation for lean B2B marketing teams. Its AI platform can plan, create, execute and scale personalised marketing campaigns across channels based on a company’s business context, strategy and target audience. The platform also learns from campaign results and adjusts its approach to optimise performance.

Ajeet Singh has been joined by Abhishek Pani, former Asana executive, and Abhinav Yajurvedi, former Chief Technology and Product Officer at PharmEasy, as cofounders. Different has teams in San Francisco and Bengaluru and had tested its platform with early customers including Descope and Motif before its public launch.

Why It Matters: The launch reflects the growing shift toward AI systems that can manage complete business workflows rather than individual marketing tasks. Different is targeting the fragmented tools, agencies and specialised talent traditionally required to run B2B demand generation.

CXO TechBOT Perspective: Agentic AI is increasingly moving into revenue-generating functions such as marketing, where platforms can plan, execute, measure and optimise campaigns in a continuous loop. Different’s approach highlights the emerging opportunity to use AI to give lean enterprise teams capabilities traditionally requiring much larger specialist organisations.
