Maharashtra Signs $1.2 Billion MoU to Develop Navi Mumbai International Medicity Health

The Maharashtra government has signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Cleveland Clinic, Brookfield Asset Management – Asia Pacific, and Arodhan Health City to establish the Navi Mumbai International Medicity (NMIMC), an ambitious integrated healthcare, research, and innovation ecosystem.

Spread across 250 acres in Navi Mumbai, the project is expected to attract approximately $1.2 billion in investment and create nearly 10,000 employment opportunities, making it one of India’s most significant healthcare infrastructure initiatives. The development aims to bring together world-class patient care, medical education, advanced research, biotechnology, artificial intelligence, genomics, and healthcare innovation within a single ecosystem.

Cleveland Clinic will serve as the anchor partner, contributing its global expertise in healthcare delivery, medical research, and academic excellence. The project is expected to strengthen India’s position as a leading destination for healthcare services, medical tourism, and scientific innovation.

The Navi Mumbai International Medicity aligns with the country’s long-term vision of building globally competitive healthcare infrastructure while driving economic growth, innovation, and improved access to advanced medical care.
