Jeffrey Hecht appointed as Senior Managing Director – Head of Private Equity Tax and Advisory at FTI Consulting

Jeffrey Hecht has been appointed as Senior Managing Director – Head of Private Equity Tax and Advisory at FTI Consulting. He joins FTI Consulting after serving as Managing Partner and co-founder of Wave Energy Capital, where he focused on capital raising, financing, investment analysis, execution and financial reporting for utility-scale clean energy projects. His career also includes senior leadership roles at KPMG and EY, spanning private equity, tax advisory, financial services and real estate.

At EY, he served as Global Private Equity Tax Leader, setting strategy and direction for the firm’s global private equity tax practice, and previously led the Americas Private Equity Tax practice. At KPMG, he was a Partner and later Retired Senior Partner, serving as Private Equity and NY Financial Services Real Estate Tax Leader and advising major investment, infrastructure, renewable energy, real estate and credit businesses. At FTI Consulting, he brings deep expertise across private equity tax, transaction advisory, investment management and complex financial services.
