Hyderabad Emerges as a Global GCC and AI Innovation Hub GCC

Hyderabad is rapidly establishing itself as a premier destination for Global Capability Centres (GCCs), attracting global firms such as McDonald’s, Vanguard, First Citizens Bank, The HEINEKEN Company, DAZN, and Dai-ichi in 2024. According to Zinnov, the city now hosts over 355 GCCs, with 27 added last year alone. Bosch Global Software Technologies (BGSW) has scaled Hyderabad to 2,000 employees in just two and a half years, making it one of its fastest-growing centres in India.

“Hyderabad is not a replica of Bengaluru or Coimbatore. It’s our centre of excellence for cybersecurity, and we’re creating focused clusters in AI, DevOps, ERP, and mobility,” said Amjad Khan Patan, VP and Centre Head, BGSW Hyderabad. Post-COVID, the city was chosen for its ability to drive value creation alongside talent availability.

Hyderabad plays a pivotal role in Bosch’s AI initiatives, with 65,000 associates trained globally and over 1,500 AI patents filed. From assistive to autonomous AI, innovations from the Hyderabad hub include AI-powered home appliances and remote validation systems. Around 400 associates are currently undergoing AI training, scaling to 1,500 by year-end.

With initiatives like Telangana Mobility Valley, T-Hub, and T-Works, Hyderabad is shaping the future of automotive R&D and AI, combining embedded software, chip design, and cybersecurity into a global innovation ecosystem.
