Google Launches Google Skills and GEAR Program to Accelerate AI Learning & Developer Readiness Deeptech

Google has unveiled a major update to its global learning ecosystem with the launch of Google Skills, a unified platform bringing together nearly 3,000 courses, labs, and credentials across Google Cloud, Google DeepMind, Grow with Google, and Google for Education. The announcement coincides with the launch of Gemini Enterprise, underscoring Google’s commitment to helping individuals and organizations build future-ready AI capabilities. Learners can also request 150 free learning credits to explore new courses and programs.

Google Skills introduces enhanced experiences for all learners, including AI-powered hands-on labs through Gemini Code Assist, new skill badges, improved personalization for enterprises, customizable leaderboards, and engaging gamified features like leagues, achievements, and learning streaks. The platform retains all the strengths of Google Cloud Skills Boost while adding deeper insights and advanced reporting for admins.

Complementing this is the new Gemini Enterprise Agent Ready (GEAR) initiative, aimed at empowering one million developers to build enterprise-grade AI agents using Gemini Enterprise. Google also announced a skills-based hiring partnership with Jack Henry, offering Google Cloud Certificate graduates a direct interview pathway through real-world lab simulations.

With these updates, Google is enabling students, developers, and enterprises worldwide to thrive in an AI-led future.
