Google has completed its $32 billion all-cash acquisition of Wiz, the Israeli-founded cloud-native security company, marking the largest acquisition in the company’s history and one of the most significant deals in the global cybersecurity industry.
First announced in 2025, the transaction received regulatory approvals across several jurisdictions before being finalized on March 11, 2026. Wiz will operate within Google Cloud Security while continuing to support a multi-cloud ecosystem, enabling enterprises to secure infrastructure across major cloud platforms including Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure.
Wiz is known for its agentless, AI-powered cloud security platform that enables organizations to detect vulnerabilities, identify threats, and manage security risks across complex cloud environments without requiring software agents.
The acquisition strengthens Google Cloud’s security portfolio at a time when enterprises are prioritizing protection for AI workloads, sensitive data, and rapidly expanding cloud infrastructure across hybrid and multicloud environments.
