Figma, the global leader in collaborative design platforms, has officially opened its first India office in Bengaluru, reinforcing its commitment to one of its fastest-growing markets. The new hub marks a pivotal step in Figma’s global expansion, aimed at driving AI-powered design innovation and nurturing India’s thriving design and developer community.
“India is our second-largest active user market. As it evolves into a global software and manufacturing hub, the value of design will only grow,” said Scott Pugh, APAC Vice President of Sales at Figma.
All of Figma’s tools Figma Design, FigJam, Figma Make, Dev Mode, Figma Slides, Figma Draw, and Figma Buzz, are now available in India. With over 85% of its user base outside the U.S. and nearly half of 2024 revenue from international markets, India has become a key growth engine for Figma’s future.
The company’s acquisition of Weavy and integration of AI-driven design systems in Figma Make underline its deep investment in generative design. With top clients like Airtel, Swiggy, Myntra, and TCS, Figma’s Bengaluru office is set to empower the next generation of design-led innovation.
