Enlog: The Delhi Startup Cutting Energy Waste with IoT Innovation and Rapid Nationwide Expansion Startup Stories

Founded by Bharath Rankvatt in 2019, Enlog is transforming India’s energy efficiency landscape with its IoT-powered energy management solutions. Originally launched as EPVI in 2017, the company focused solely on lighting, selling over 3,000 AutoSwitcher units. In 2019, EPVI evolved into Enlog, expanding its mission to tackle energy waste across homes, factories, hotels, and small businesses. Soon after, Jharna Saha and Ayush Gupta joined Bharath, bringing expertise in UI/UX, branding, and product development.

Bharath’s extensive study of 1,000+ consumer energy usage patterns revealed a major gap, most small businesses and households were unaware of their own energy wastage. This insight led to the development of Smi-Fi in 2020, an IoT-based smart device that optimizes electricity consumption. Enlog launched its energy monitoring app in 2021, enabling real-time insights and driving awareness through partnerships with schools and local communities.

Priced between ₹1,000 and ₹1 lakh based on customer needs, Smi-Fi has helped 23,000+ users save over 30,000 MWh of electricity, reducing 5,500+ tonnes of carbon emissions. With operations now in Delhi, Hyderabad, Pune, Mumbai, and Bengaluru, Enlog has grown from a bootstrap investment of ₹40–45 lakh to securing ₹2.75 crore funding, valuing the company at ₹40 crore. The startup reported ₹4.5 crore revenue in FY 2025 and targets ₹40–45 crore by FY 2027.
