Dr Ram has been appointed Honorary Consul General of the Republic of Fiji in Hyderabad, with jurisdiction over Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka, effective October 2026.
In his new role, Dr Ram will focus on strengthening Fiji–India relations through trade and investment promotion, healthcare cooperation, economic diplomacy and strategic partnerships. His mandate also includes facilitating business and institutional engagement, encouraging Indian investment in Fiji and strengthening people-to-people ties between the two countries.
A serial entrepreneur and Guntur Medical College alumnus, Dr Ram brings experience in entrepreneurship, government relations, international trade and global partnerships. He aims to promote Fiji as a gateway to the Pacific for Indian businesses and investors while advancing bilateral cooperation across key sectors.
