Dr Rachana Sharma has been appointed Head – Environment at Shree Cement Ltd., where she will lead the company’s environmental strategy, sustainability initiatives, and regulatory compliance framework. In this role, she will support the organization’s commitment to responsible manufacturing and environmental stewardship across its cement operations.

Dr. Rachana brings extensive experience in environmental governance, sustainability strategy, and ESG policy leadership within the cement and infrastructure sectors. Prior to joining Shree Cement, she served as Corporate Head – Environment at JSW Cement, where she led corporate sustainability initiatives, ESG strategy development, and policy advocacy while collaborating with government ministries and regulatory bodies.

Earlier, she held a senior leadership role at the Cement Manufacturers' Association, where she worked on industry-wide sustainability frameworks and policy advocacy for the cement sector. She also held environmental leadership roles at IL&FS Environmental Infrastructure & Services Ltd..

Dr. Rachana began her career with JM Environet Pvt Ltd and the Madhya Pradesh Pollution Control Board’s Environment Surveillance Centre, building strong expertise in environmental monitoring and regulatory compliance.
