Colgate sets oral health screening record across 547 CBSE schools Health

Colgate has achieved a new record in oral healthcare by screening 308,106 students across 547 CBSE-affiliated schools in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry during a 10-day campaign from August 17 to 28, 2026.

The initiative, recognised by the World Records Union, brought together Colgate, the Narcotics Control Bureau, CBSE, the Indian Dental Association (IDA) Tamil Nadu, 2,100 dentists and 29 regional dental colleges across 40 districts.

The campaign combined oral health screenings with preventive education on nutrition and substance abuse, highlighting the role of multi-stakeholder partnerships in delivering healthcare interventions at scale.

The initiative builds on Colgate India’s Bright Smiles, Bright Futures programme, which has reached more than 200 million children and families in India since 1991. In 2025 alone, the programme engaged over 11 million children across 35,000 schools.

Why this matters:

The campaign demonstrates how coordinated public-private partnerships can expand preventive healthcare access at scale.

It also shifts oral health efforts from awareness toward early screening, education and healthier long-term habits.
