Blackstone deepens India commitment with new Bengaluru Global Capability Centre GCC

Global alternative asset manager Blackstone has opened its second office in India, establishing a new Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Bengaluru as part of its continued expansion in the country.

The new GCC will bring together Blackstone employees and professional services partnerships across corporate functions, strengthening the firm’s operational capabilities and supporting its global business operations.

Susan Yung, Senior Managing Director in Blackstone Credit & Insurance’s Investment Operations team, will oversee the centre’s operations. She brings more than 25 years of experience in the finance industry.

Commenting on the expansion, Michael Chae, Vice Chairman and Chief Financial Officer of Blackstone, said the new Bengaluru office reflects the firm’s confidence in India as one of its most important global markets.

Located at Prestige Lakeshore Drive, the new office adds to Blackstone’s growing presence in India. The firm’s investment professionals will continue to operate from Mumbai, which remains its India headquarters.

The development highlights Bengaluru’s growing importance as a destination for global financial services and capability centres.
