Azul has launched the Azul Intelligence Cloud AI Assistant, a natural-language tool designed to help IT, DevOps and security teams identify Java security, licensing and application risks across production environments.
The AI Assistant connects with live runtime data from JVM Inventory and Code Inventory, allowing teams to ask questions in plain language instead of relying on static reports or complex queries. Users can identify outdated Java versions, locate Oracle Java deployments, track JVM usage and determine which code has remained inactive over time.
The launch comes as AI-powered cyber capabilities accelerate vulnerability discovery and reduce the time available for organisations to respond to emerging threats. For enterprises operating large Java estates, continuously updated runtime visibility can help teams identify unpatched systems, unsupported deployments and unused code.
Azul said the AI Assistant works across JVM vendors and environments, including on-premises infrastructure, cloud platforms and containers, without adding performance overhead to production systems.
The solution is designed to provide real-time, traceable insights for IT, security, compliance and business teams.
