Abhishek Gupta Appointed as Chief Information Officer at Akasa Air

Abhishek Gupta has joined Akasa Air as Chief Information Officer, bringing more than two decades of experience across enterprise IT, technology strategy, digital transformation and emerging technologies. His appointment follows an over 11-year tenure at DishTV, where he progressed from Vice President – IT to Corporate Head – Information Technology. During his time at DishTV, he was involved in IT modernisation, cloud adoption, digital transformation and AI deployment.

Before DishTV, he served as Practice Lead – Mobility & Emerging Technologies at Ericsson and earlier held the position of Head of Corporate IT – India at Orange Business Services. His career spans IT architecture, technology operations, SaaS, product road mapping and enterprise technology management. He is an alumnus of IIM Ahmedabad and holds an engineering degree from Delhi College of Engineering. At Akasa Air, he will lead the airline’s IT function and contribute to its technology and digital-transformation initiatives.
