Piramal Finance has appointed Jairam Sridharan as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Sridharan, who has served as Managing Director since 2021 and previously as CEO of Piramal Consumer Finance, has been instrumental in driving the company’s transformation and growth in retail lending, particularly after the successful acquisition and integration of DHFL.

With an extensive career spanning global and Indian financial institutions, Jairam brings deep expertise in scaling consumer businesses, digital lending, and strategic growth across banking and insurance sectors. Prior to Piramal Finance, he served as CFO and President of Retail Lending & Payments at Axis Bank, playing a key role in building large-scale retail franchises. His international experience includes seven years at Capital One, US, in senior leadership roles, and earlier stints at ICICI Bank and Standard Chartered Bank.

Beyond his role at Piramal Finance, Sridharan serves as Chairman of Pramerica Life Insurance, Board Member at Fibe.India, and Advisory Board Member at the Plaksha Technology Leaders Program, reflecting his broad influence across the financial services ecosystem.
