Orbia, a global company operating across water, food, infrastructure and connectivity, has appointed Visionary Leader Bijal Shah as Head of its Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Pune.
Shah brings more than 23 years of exemplary global leadership experience spanning technology, operations, financial services and capability centres. Before joining Orbia, she served as India Country Head and Board Director at Genworth Financial, where she held senior leadership responsibilities.
Announcing her appointment in a LinkedIn post, Shah highlighted her focus on strengthening Orbia’s India GCC and deepening its role as a strategic partner to the company’s global businesses. She emphasised the importance of talent, technology, innovation and operational excellence in creating meaningful business impact.
Orbia operates across multiple sectors, including precision agriculture, polymer solutions, building and infrastructure, and connectivity. The company employs more than 22,000 people, conducts commercial activities in over 100 countries and maintains operations in more than 50.
Shah’s appointment comes as global organisations increasingly look to their India capability centres for strategic contributions, innovation and operational efficiency.
