HDFC Bank has appointed Ashish Kumar as Vice President – Digital and Gen AI Projects (Process Re-engineering), strengthening its leadership in digital transformation and AI-led innovation.
With over 22 years of leadership experience in the banking and financial services sector, Ashish brings deep expertise in digital transformation, customer engagement, and process re-engineering. At HDFC Bank, he has previously served as DVP – Customer Experience & Journey and National Lead – Rural Customer Engagement & Customer Service, where he played a key role in enhancing customer frameworks and driving operational excellence.
Prior to this, Ashish spent more than 15 years at ICICI Bank, where he managed strategic portfolios in retail banking and pioneered innovations such as Tab Banking and digital account onboarding, which became benchmarks for future-ready banking. His career also includes impactful roles at ICFAI Group and Hughes Communications in corporate sales and channel development.
An alumnus of Welingkar Institute of Management and Indian School of Business, Ashish has also completed the RBI Programme on Fintech, gaining advanced insights into AI, blockchain, cybersecurity, and digital lending.
