MSCI Inc. has announced the appointment of Kashi Kakarla as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Head of Product Engineering, marking a significant step in strengthening the company’s technology and innovation leadership. With nearly three decades of experience in engineering, product development, technology strategy, and enterprise transformation, Kakarla brings a wealth of expertise to the global investment research and analytics leader.

Before joining MSCI, Kakarla spent more than 17 years at Intuit, where he held several senior leadership positions, including Senior Vice President of Engineering, Vice President of Product Development, Director of Engineering, and Group Development Manager. Throughout his career, he has successfully led large-scale engineering organizations, built high-performing global teams, and driven innovation through scalable technology solutions.

His earlier stints at SiRF Technology Inc. and Motorola Solutions India Pvt Ltd further enhanced his expertise in systems engineering and advanced technology development. At MSCI, Kakarla is expected to play a key role in accelerating product innovation, strengthening engineering capabilities, and advancing technology-driven investment solutions for clients worldwide.
