Wipro is set to acquire a 20% stake in FLARRE.AI for $2,000, strengthening its focus on agentic artificial intelligence (AI) solutions for the global insurance industry. The agreement was signed on 15 October 2026, alongside the company’s Q2 FY27 earnings announcement.
Through its subsidiary, Wipro IT Services, the IT services major aims to expand its AI capabilities and support insurers in adopting intelligent, automated workflows. FLARRE.AI develops AI agents designed to streamline insurance software implementation and operational processes, including underwriting and claims management.
The investment aligns with Wipro’s broader strategy to accelerate enterprise AI adoption by integrating agentic AI into industry-specific business operations. AI agents can help automate complex, multi-step processes, improve operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention across insurance workflows.
The transaction is expected to close by 31 October 2026. The agreement involves a minority stake in FLARRE.AI and does not represent a full acquisition of the company.
The investment highlights the growing importance of agentic AI in transforming insurance operations and advancing automation across financial services.
