Vaibhav Gawde has been promoted to Head of Customer Engineering for APAC Data Management and Database Cloud at Google Cloud. In this expanded leadership role, he will lead teams focused on enabling some of Asia’s largest enterprises to modernize their data foundations and accelerate adoption of advanced data management and database cloud solutions.

At Google Cloud, Gawde will work closely with organizations across the Asia-Pacific region to help design scalable data architectures, unlock the value of enterprise data, and support digital transformation initiatives powered by cloud technologies. His role will also involve driving innovation and guiding businesses as they build resilient, data-driven platforms that can scale with evolving digital demands.

Before taking on this leadership position, Gawde built significant expertise across global technology companies. At Oracle, he served as Head of India Sales Consulting and IT Architect. His career journey also includes key roles at Sun Microsystems, Hitachi Data Systems, NetApp, Symantec, and CSX Technology, where he contributed to presales strategy, enterprise architecture, and software engineering.
