Rajesh Ranjan has been promoted to Director and India Lead of Core Government Affairs and Public Policy at Google, effective November 2026. In his expanded role, he will lead the company’s core government affairs and public policy initiatives in India, contributing to policy discussions shaping the future of technology.
Rajesh has been with Google since August 2024, most recently serving as India Lead of Core Government Affairs and Public Policy. During this period, he focused on driving public policy engagement and strengthening the company’s engagement with India’s evolving technology ecosystem.
Before joining Google, Rajesh served as Director of Corporate Affairs and Public Policy at Microsoft from January 2021 to August 2024. He also spent over eight years at KPMG, where he held the position of Associate Director.
With exemplary experience across government affairs, corporate affairs and public policy, Rajesh brings valuable industry expertise to his new leadership responsibilities.
