Morgan Stanley has elevated Avril Miranda Fernandes to Executive Director – AI Lead, Investment Management. Based in Mumbai, this newly created strategic role underscores the firm’s commitment to embedding artificial intelligence at the core of its investment management operations.

In her expanded mandate, Avril will spearhead the integration of AI across the division, driving operational efficiency, enhancing data-led investment decision-making, and developing innovative client-centric solutions. Her appointment reflects Morgan Stanley’s accelerating focus on AI-enabled transformation within global asset and wealth management.

Avril brings over 14 years of exemplary leadership experience at Morgan Stanley, most recently serving as Executive Director – Investment Management. She previously led Talent Development and Diversity initiatives and progressed through key roles spanning HR, Learning & Development, and organizational strategy. Prior to joining the firm in 2011, she held leadership roles at iGATE Patni and Tata Interactive Systems.
