Truist Financial expands AI-first GCC in Hyderabad with Infosys GCC

US-based Truist Financial is expanding its AI-first Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Hyderabad in partnership with Infosys, with the centre reaching 1,400 employees within just six months of operations.

The expanded collaboration will bring Truist’s technology, data, artificial intelligence, engineering and operations capabilities in India under an integrated operating model. Infosys will support the initiative by leveraging its AI expertise and Infosys Topaz, its AI-first suite of services, solutions and platforms.

The partnership follows a build-operate-transfer (BOT) model, under which Infosys will establish and operate the centre before transitioning it to a Truist-led operating structure. The approach is designed to help the financial services company build internal capabilities while accelerating technology transformation.

The initiative reflects Truist’s focus on strengthening digital capabilities, advancing AI adoption and reducing dependence on third-party providers. Hyderabad’s expanding technology talent pool also offers a strategic base for scaling specialised capabilities across engineering, data and financial services operations.
