Tech Mahindra in Advanced Talks to set Up 300-Member GCC for Goodyear in Hyderabad GCC

Hyderabad, February 2025 – Tech Mahindra Ltd is in advanced discussions to establish a Global Capability Centre (GCC) for Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., a US-based tire manufacturing giant. The centre, set to be based in Hyderabad, will employ 300 professionals, focusing on research and development (R&D) and IT operations.

The move is part of Tech Mahindra’s Project Fortius, a three-year strategy launched by CEO Mohit Joshi to boost revenue and achieve a 15% operating margin through organic growth rather than acquisitions. The project is expected to generate nearly 3,000 jobs across multiple roles.

GCCs, traditionally in-house technology hubs for Fortune 500 companies, allow firms to reduce outsourcing dependencies by handling IT and tech operations internally. Tech Mahindra’s focus on GCC expansion aligns with the broader industry trend, with companies like Adecco India also ramping up their GCC presence.
