The management of Standard Chartered has decided to appoint Tanuj Kapilashrami as Group Chief Operating Officer (Group COO). This development further adds up to the strength of its leadership across the globe while it keeps on concentrating towards its future plans regarding growth, transformation, and organization resilience.

Tanuj, being an experienced leader with over twenty years of working experience across the banking sector, corporate governance, strategy, and business transformation sectors, has made several contributions in all of her previous positions at Standard Chartered, HSBC, Sainsbury’s, Asia House, and NHS England.

Before this appointment, she was serving as the Chief Strategy & Talent Officer at Standard Chartered while earlier holding the position of Chief Human Resources Officer at Standard Chartered. Her experience in both of these posts helped the bank in developing its people strategies and agendas for sustainable growth.

In her new assignment of Group COO, she will be responsible for strengthening the bank’s operational capabilities, driving its strategic execution agenda, improving its organizational agility, and facilitating sustainable growth initiatives.
