DBS Bank has announced the appointment of Sudarshan Chari as Head – National Distribution. His elevation follows a series of impactful leadership roles within the bank, where he most recently served as Managing Director & Head of SME and previously as Executive Director & Head of Business Banking. This transition underscores his significant contribution to scaling distribution networks and strengthening the bank’s SME franchise nationwide.

Sudarshan brings a distinguished professional background with deep expertise in commercial banking and national sales leadership. Prior to joining DBS Bank, he served as SME Coverage Head at Avendus Capital and held the position of Senior Vice President – SME Head at RBL Bank Ltd.

His extensive career also includes an eleven-year tenure at Citibank India, where he held several regional and country-level leadership roles focused on business development for mid-market enterprises. An alumnus of The Wharton School, Sudarshan’s progression reflects a consistent record of strategic vision and performance excellence within the financial sector.
