Rise of AI Fuels Urgency for Businesses to Invest in Proactive Cybersecurity

The rapid adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is driving growth across industries, but it’s also creating new opportunities for cybercriminals to exploit AI for sophisticated attacks. Kaspersky, a global leader in cybersecurity, has highlighted the critical need for businesses to invest in proactive cybersecurity measures to tackle these emerging threats.

Kaspersky is leveraging AI across its products to strengthen defenses against evolving cyberattacks. The company warns that cybercriminals are increasingly using AI tools, like ChatGPT, to automate attacks, write malicious software, and even track users’ smartphone inputs to capture sensitive information.

In 2023, Kaspersky protected 220,000 businesses globally and prevented approximately 6.1 billion attacks. The company’s research reveals that 32% of user passwords remain vulnerable, with AI tools capable of cracking them within an hour.

As AI-generated phishing and other AI-driven threats become more sophisticated, businesses must prioritize robust cybersecurity strategies to safeguard their operations in this new era.
