Guruprasad Rao has been elevated to Vice President – Engineering at Persistent Systems, strengthening the company’s leadership in engineering and digital transformation. Based in Pune, Guruprasad Rao will lead strategic engineering initiatives, oversee large-scale delivery programs, and drive innovation across the organization’s global portfolio.

With over 22 years of exemplary experience in software engineering and IT services, Guruprasad Rao brings deep expertise in Agile transformation, DevOps implementation, and enterprise delivery management. Guruprasad has been associated with Persistent Systems for over four years, progressing from Senior Engineering Partner to this leadership role. 

Prior to this, Guruprasad Rao spent over a decade at Wipro, where he held key positions including Account Delivery Head and Service Delivery Manager across Sydney and Pune. Guruprasad began his career at Patni Computers, building a strong foundation in global IT operations.

In the new role, he will focus on scaling engineering excellence, leveraging AI-driven frameworks, and delivering high-impact outcomes.
