TAQA Transmission has appointed Nihar Raj as Executive Vice President (Operations & Maintenance) – Electricity and Water Assets. 

With more than 17 years of experience across power transmission, engineering, utility operations, and asset management, Nihar brings deep expertise in managing large-scale infrastructure and complex power systems. Prior to joining TAQA Transmission, he held senior leadership positions at Adani Energy Solutions Ltd. and Adani Transmission, serving as Senior Vice President and Vice President, where he oversaw extensive transmission networks and substations.

Earlier, he spent more than 11 years with ABB, progressing to Business Head – Power Consulting Asia Region after leading design and engineering functions for major AIS, GIS, HVDC, and FACTS projects across multiple markets.
