Mukund Jha and Madhav Jha, founders of Emergent, have positioned their venture as India’s first agentic web coding platform that transforms a simple idea into a production-ready web application without requiring coding expertise. Earlier, Mukund earned attention for securing admission to Columbia University’s engineering program, while Madhav, the CTO, holds a PhD in Theoretical Computer Science from Penn State University. The duo previously co-founded Dunzo, later acquired by Swiggy.
Within 150 days of launch, Emergent recorded six million users across 190+ countries, with nearly 70 million end-to-end applications built through its platform. The company has doubled its ARR from $50 million to $100 million in just thirty days.
Emergent eliminates reliance on freelance developers, enabling users to build market-ready applications instantly. The launch of the Emergent mobile app further expands accessibility. Built with $1,500 in funding, the startup exemplifies capital-efficient innovation while redefining AI-driven application development in India.
