Karthik SM has been appointed as Head HR – India, Malaysia and Emerging Markets at Biocon. In this role, he will lead the human capital strategy and oversee HR operations across key geographies, focusing on talent transformation, employee engagement, and organizational effectiveness.

Karthik brings extensive experience in building high-impact HR frameworks and driving people-centric transformation across global markets. Prior to this appointment, he was associated with Biocon Biologics, where he held key leadership roles including HR Head for Global Operations and Global Head of Talent Acquisition. During his tenure, he played a pivotal role in scaling talent acquisition strategies and strengthening global HR processes.

He has also held senior positions at IQVIA and Accenture, gaining deep expertise in talent strategy, large-scale hiring, and HR transformation. His appointment is set to further strengthen Biocon’s people agenda across emerging markets.
