Infosys has announced a landmark partnership with US-based Cognition to deploy Devin, the world’s first AI software engineer, across its global internal operations and client engagements. This collaboration marks a significant step in enterprise adoption of agentic AI, redefining how software is built, deployed, and scaled.
At the core of this initiative is the integration of Cognition’s autonomous engineering capabilities with Infosys Topaz Fabric, Infosys’ multi-layer AI services suite. Together, they enable real-time developer augmentation as well as fully autonomous engineering execution, dramatically improving engineering productivity, accelerating software development cycles, and reducing time-to-market for enterprises.
Scott Wu, Founder and CEO of Cognition, emphasized the scale and ambition of the collaboration, noting that Infosys is the first large digital services and consulting firm to deploy agentic engineering tools at this level. The combined capabilities of Devin and Topaz Fabric create a powerful platform for handling complex enterprise software environments.
Infosys CEO and MD Salil Parekh highlighted the client impact, stating that the partnership delivers a differentiated value proposition by blending advanced autonomous engineering with Infosys’ deep domain expertise and global delivery strength. This synergy positions Infosys as a frontrunner in AI-driven modernization and innovation, helping enterprises achieve strategic outcomes faster and more efficiently.
