ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India (AM/NS India) has appointed Amit Harlalka as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective July 1, marking a significant leadership milestone for the organization. Currently serving as CFO, Harlalka has been instrumental in shaping the company’s financial strategy and supporting its expansion plans since joining in 2019.

With a strong global background, Amit previously held key finance leadership roles at ArcelorMittal across regions including Mexico, Bosnia, and Luxembourg. He began his career at Hindustan Unilever Limited and brings deep expertise in financial management, operations, and large-scale industrial growth.

A Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and an MBA graduate from IIM Bangalore, Harlalka has also been inducted into the ArcelorMittal Group Management Committee.

His appointment signals AM/NS India’s continued focus on growth, operational excellence, and sustainability as it strengthens its position in India’s steel industry.
