Pushan Mahapatra has been appointed Additional and Non-Executive Independent Director on the board of DCB Bank and has also been recommended for the role of Chairman. In this capacity, he will contribute to board oversight, corporate governance, and strategic guidance, supporting the bank’s continued growth within India’s financial services sector.

Pushan brings extensive leadership experience across banking, insurance, and digital transformation. He previously served as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer at SBI General Insurance, where he played a key role in expanding the company’s market presence and strengthening its operational capabilities. He later served as President – Strategic Investments and Digital Initiatives, focusing on innovation and long-term growth initiatives.

Earlier in his career, he held multiple leadership roles at State Bank of India, including Deputy General Manager and Assistant General Manager across functions such as technology, enterprise data warehousing, and corporate banking.
