Bengaluru-based conversational AI startup Hunar.AI has raised ₹40 crore ($4.2 million) in a Series A funding round led by Blume Ventures to expand its agentic AI solutions for frontline workforce management. Hyderabad Angels Fund, Together Fund, Seedstars, AVNM Ventures, PhysicsWallah co-founders Prateek Maheshwari and Alakh Pandey, and MediaMint co-founder Aditya Vuchi also participated in the round.
Founded in 2022 by Krishna Khandelwal and Shantanu Bhattacharyya, Hunar.AI uses conversational AI agents to automate workforce processes including hiring, onboarding, training and retention. The platform is designed for businesses recruiting and managing large frontline workforces across multiple cities and regional languages.
Hunar.AI offers voice AI capabilities in more than 20 languages, including Tamil, Telugu and Kannada, enabling enterprises to automate candidate and employee interactions in their preferred languages.
The company plans to use the fresh capital to strengthen its AI infrastructure, enhance its products and expand its go-to-market strategy.
Why It Matters
Frontline hiring often involves high-volume, repetitive coordination across locations and languages. Agentic AI can help enterprises automate these workflows while improving the speed and scalability of workforce management.
Hunar.AI's funding reflects the growing adoption of agentic AI beyond traditional enterprise applications. For HR and business leaders, AI-driven hiring and workforce management can help streamline operations, improve responsiveness and support workforce expansion at scale.
