EY has promoted Hamza Kapadia to Director, effective October 2026, recognising his experience in mergers and acquisitions taxation and transaction tax advisory.
Hamza has been with EY for more than five years, most recently serving as Senior Manager in Transaction Tax. During his tenure, he has advised on M&A tax and transaction-related matters, building expertise across complex corporate and deal advisory engagements.
Before joining EY, he spent more than five years at KPMG India across roles in Deal Advisory, M&A and private equity tax. He also worked with BDO India and began his professional journey at Jain & Jain Chartered Accountants. Hamza is a Chartered Accountant and holds an LLB qualification.
In his new role as Director, Hamza will continue to support clients on M&A taxation and advisory matters, leveraging his experience across transaction tax and deal advisory.
