Indian IT services major HCLTech has signed a global partnership with AI company Anthropic to accelerate enterprise adoption of agentic AI through secure, reliable and governed solutions.
Under the agreement, HCLTech will establish a dedicated Anthropic Business Unit and a Centre of Excellence (CoE) to develop enterprise applications powered by Anthropic’s Claude models and support customer deployments.
HCLSoftware will become an independent software vendor partner, integrating Claude and Claude Code into select products, including HCL BigFix and HCL AppScan, with applications across cybersecurity, automation and software development.
HCLTech will also integrate these AI tools into its AIForce platform to support IT workflows, code remediation, software engineering and digital employee services. The solutions will incorporate safety controls, exception handling and human oversight for critical changes.
Anthropic co-founder and President Daniela Amodei highlighted the importance of trustworthy AI for sensitive enterprise operations, while HCLTech CEO and Managing Director C. Vijayakumar said the collaboration would strengthen enterprise agentic AI deployment.
The partnership aims to help businesses move beyond AI experimentation towards practical, secure and scalable applications.
