Emerson is expanding its test and measurement research and development facility in Bengaluru by 50%, strengthening its capacity to develop software-defined and automated validation technologies for industrial customers.
The Bengaluru facility, operated as Emerson’s NI Software Centre of Excellence, is the company’s second-largest test and measurement R&D centre globally. Engineering teams at the site are responsible for test software platforms, AI-enabled engineering solutions, systems engineering technologies and radio frequency test software.
The centre supports customers across key industries, including semiconductors, aerospace, defence, transportation, life sciences and manufacturing.
Ritu Favre, President of Emerson’s Test & Measurement business, said Bengaluru is playing an increasingly strategic role in Emerson’s global test innovation network, combining software expertise with AI-enabled engineering and validation capabilities.
The expansion comes as India accelerates investments in semiconductors, electric mobility and aerospace manufacturing, supported by initiatives such as the India Semiconductor Mission. Emerson’s investment is expected to strengthen Bengaluru’s role in developing advanced testing and validation technologies for global industrial markets.
